Admissions Office implements policies on admission and preliminaries to matriculation. Through an On-line Admissions System, it examines and processes the entrance credentials of freshmen applicants, transferees, degree-holders and cross-registrants seeking admission to the University.

GENERAL POLICY

Admission to any of the undergraduate courses of the University shall be selective and shall be correlative with the retention policy of the University. As a general rule, no applicant may be admitted to and registered in the University unless he/she satisfies all the prescribed requirements/credentials and qualifying factors laid down by the University Academic Council.

REQUIREMENTS FOR UE COLLEGE ENTRANCE TEST

1. Completed UE-CET Application Form
2. Two (2) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo
3. UE-CET Fee: Php 250.00


PROCEDURE FOR TAKING THE COLLEGE ENTRANCE TEST


1. Secure Application Form at the Admissions Office.
2. Accomplish the Application Form and submit it at the Admissions Office.
3. Pay the corresponding UE-CET fee at the cashier.
4. Present the receipt at the Admissions Office and take the test at the assigned testing center.

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. UE-CET results are immediately released at the Admissions Office after the test.
2. Only applicants who took and passed the UE-CET shall be considered for admission and registration in their desired course in the University.


REQUIREMENTS FOR FRESHMEN

A. Filipino and Resident Foreign Students
1. Completed Application Form for Admission with UE-CET Result
2. Form 138 (High School Report Card)
3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
4. For valedictorian or salutatorian, certificate signed by the high school principal indicating the honor or academic award obtained and the number of graduates
5. For resident foreign student, updated Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID)
6. For full-time working student, certificate of employment
7. For applicant in the College of Fine Arts, he/she should pass the Talent Test administered by the College.

B. Requirements for Non-Resident Foreign Students
1. Scholastic records signed by the school head and duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy located in the applicant's country of origin or residence
2 . Documentary Proof of Support to cover expenses incidental to his/her studies, such as board and lodging, as well as return airline ticket
3 . Police Clearance Certificate
4 . Medical Health Certificate with standard-size chest X-ray
5 . Completed Application Form for Admission with UE-CET Result
6 . Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (one from the Headmaster of the school and another from a former teacher or professor)
7 . Seven (7) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo
8. Personal History statement
9. Passport
10. Payment of Acceptance Fee of seventy-five US dollars (US$75.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate upon release of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA). Check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East.
11. Payment of fifty US dollars (US$50.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as Foreign Service fee. Check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRANSFEREES

As a University policy, the University of the East accepts transferees provided they completely comply with the prescribed documents and requirements specific to the college where they intend to pursue a degree, pass the UE-CET qualifying examination and pass the interview conducted by the Dean of the College.

A. Filipino and Resident Foreign Students
1. Completed Application Form for Admission with UE-CET result
2 . Transfer Credentials/Honorable Dismissal from the school last attended
3 .Transcript of Records or Certification of all the subjects taken with the corresponding grades obtained
4. Certificate of Good Moral Character
5. Two (2) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo
6. Additional Requirement for Resident Foreign Students: Updated Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID)

B. Requirements for Non-Resident Foreign Students
1. Completed Application Form for Admission with UE-CET result
2. Transfer Credentials/Honorable Dismissal
3. Transcript of Records or Certification of all the subjects taken and the corresponding grades obtained
4. Certificate of Good Moral Character
5. Seven (7) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo
6. Letter of No Objection to transfer to UE signed by the School Registrar
7. Updated Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID)
8. Payment of Acceptance Fee of seventy-five US dollars (US$75.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate upon release of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA). Check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East.
9. Payment of fifty US dollars (US$50.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as Foreign Service fee. Check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East.

REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE HOLDERS AND CROSS ENROLLEES

A. Degree Holders
1. Completed Application Form for Degree Holders
2. Original Transcript of Records including Special Order Number (SO No.) and degree earned if graduated from a private institution, or a certification of graduation if from a state college or university.
3. Two (2) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo

B. Cross-Enrollees
1. Completed Application Form for Cross-enrollees
2. Cross-enrollment Permit signed by the Registrar of the school where the student is duly enrolled, and
3. Two (2) copies of the applicant's latest 2" x 2" photo

PROCEDURE FOR ENROLLMENT

A. Freshmen
1. Submit the original copy of the prescribed admission requirements together with the UE-CET result at the Admissions Office. (Note: Freshmen students who do not qualify to enroll in a desired course based on the UE-CET result or who do not meet the GWA requirements are referred to the Dean of the College where they intend to enroll for interview.)
2. Secure a Registration Form generated at the Admissions Office.
3. Pay the corresponding school fees at the cashier.
4. Proceed to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) for processing of Identification Card (ID) and for instructions regarding the school uniform.

B. Transferees
1. Submit the original copy of the prescribed admission requirements together with the UE-CET result at the Admissions Office.
2. Proceed to the Dean's Office where the applicant intends to pursue a course for interview and for evaluation of the Transcript of Records and other documents.
3. Submit the endorsement issued by the College Dean at the Admissions Office to secure a Notice of Admission (NOA).
4. Proceed to the Advising Area located at the respective college to get a Pre-Enrollment Form (PEF).
5. Accomplish the PEF by listing down the subjects to be enrolled. (Note: The subject offerings are posted at conspicuous places in every College.)
6. Present the accomplished PEF to the Faculty Advisers at the Advising Area
7. Secure a Registration Form generated at the Advising Area.
8. Pay the corresponding school fees at the cashier.
9 . Proceed to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) for processing of Identification Card (ID) and for instructions regarding the school uniform.

C. Degree Holders
1. Submit the original copy of the prescribed admission requirements at the Admissions Office.
2. Accomplish the Application for Admission of Degree Holders.
3. Proceed to the Dean's Office where the applicant intends to pursue a course for interview.
4. Submit the endorsement issued by the College Dean at the Admissions Office to secure a Notice of Admission (NOA).
5. Proceed to the Advising Area of the respective College to get a Pre-Enrollment Form (PEF).
6. Accomplish the PEF by listing down the subjects to be enrolled.
7. Present the accomplished PEF to the Faculty Advisers at the Advising Area.
8. Secure a Registration Form generated at the Advising Area.
9. Pay the corresponding school fees at the cashier.
10. Proceed to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) for processing of Identification Card (ID) and for application for exemption from wearing the school uniforms (if qualified).

D. Cross-Enrollees
1. Present at the Admissions Office the original copy of Cross-enrollment Permit signed by the registrar of the school where the student is duly enrolled.
2. Accomplish the Application for Admission of Cross-enrollees.
3. Verify if the subjects to be taken are offered in the College. (Note: The subject offerings are posted at conspicuous places in every College.)
4. If offered, proceed to the Admissions Office for submission of the Cross-enrollment Permit and for the issuance of the Notice of Admission (NOA).
5. Proceed to the Advising Area of the respective College to get a Pre-Enrollment Form (PEF).
6. Accomplish the PEF by listing down the subjects to be enrolled.
7. Present the accomplished PEF to the Faculty Advisers at the Advising Area.
8. Secure a Registration Form generated at the Advising Area.
9. Pay the corresponding school fees at the cashier.
10. Proceed to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) for processing of Identification Card (ID) and for application for exemption from wearing the school uniforms.
