COMPUTER ENGINEERING

MISSION

The Department of Computer Engineering declares its role to produce competitive engineers who are knowledgeable in fundamental areas of digital and computer system design, software development, and modeling of physical systems.

VISION

The Department of Computer Engineering will impact the information age as a national leader in computing, research and education.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. To produce computer engineering graduates who can demonstrate competence in the following:
- Analog and digital circuitry
- Digital system design; be able to design, implement, debug, document, and verify the correct operation of software that interfaces to hardware.
- Basic computer science fundamentals such as data structure, computer architecture, operating systems, and networking
- Computer programming and be able to apply the knowledge to solve engineering problems.

2. To obtain the best state if the art computer engineering facilities and computer laboratory equipment.

3. To develop faculty members with the highest level of knowledge in digital and computer system design, software development and to expand the capabilities of the faculty members in managing a research

4. To strengthen linkages with software development companies and semiconductor companies for industry immersion.

5. To continuously provide technical skills to the local community.
