UE alumnus, winner in Italy’s art festival joins his colleagues’ arts exhibit for a cause

Maximino Mark “Maxbal” Balatbat, recipient of the “Lorenzo Il Magnifico” award for his masterpiece “Avenida Manila” for finishing up second-best at the 7th Florence Biennale, a prestigious international art festival held at the historic Fortezza da Basso, Italy, last December 5-13, 2009, has joined forces with his fellow UE College of Fine Arts alumni, faculty and selected students in putting up the “Artistry for the Greater Glory”, a visual art show for a cause. The benefit art show, the centerpiece event of UE’s celebration of the National Arts month this February, aims to raise funds for the construction of a new Chapel in UE Caloocan and runs from February 1 - 26 at the UE Manila Dalupan Lobby. Photo shows the artist’s visit at his alma mater, Friday, January 29, where he paid a courtesy call on UE President Ester A.
