"Let Us Practice Our Profession with Honor and Dignity"
By Engr. AMIEL R. GANALON, 13th Placer

A pleasant good evening to our distinguished guests, faculty members and fellow engineers. Success depends on preparation and perseverance. Topping the board exam is not a matter of whether you can do it or not, but is rather a matter of whether you want to or not. When you attempt to do anything, you should have the will to do it and be confident that you will succeed.

More than intelligence, what you need to achieve your goals is diligence and perseverance, which eventually leads to success.

And now, our collective dream has come true: this great moment of triumph and fulfillment of becoming a licensed engineer.

I thank God for His guidance, for having showered me with blessings and love, wisdom, knowledge and good health.

To my parents and family, whose loving hands have molded me in the right way as I grew up; they serve as my inspiration and light.

To all of my instructors in the Civil Engineering Department, who went out of their way to bestow the power of knowledge: Sirs, Ma'ams, thank you very much.

And to all of my friends and classmates, I dedicate this simple token of gratitude, of love, to you.

Again, congratulations to everyone of us for a job well done. Let us practice our profession with honor and dignity. Let us strive to become competitive and competent professionals in our chosen field.

Good evening and thank you for listening.
