Graduate of the East is First Placer in Special Board Exam in the Middle East!

Big, big CONGRATULATIONS to University of the East College of Engineering-Caloocan Civil Engineering graduate Rolando Apolonio Concepcion for landing in 1st Place in the September 2016 Special Professional Licensure Board Exam for Civil Engineers in the Middle East!

Garnering an overall score of 83.35, Engr. Concepcion, and in effect, UE CEng’g Caloocan, bested all other examinees from engineering colleges in the Philippines, including Top 3 placers from the Mapua Institute of Technology-Manila and the Surigao del Sur State University.

Engr. Concepcion earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from UE CEng’g Caloocan on April 15, 2005.

UE graduates—Engr. Concepcion and a fellow first-time examinee plus one repeater—shone through in terms of the exam’s passing rate, collectively earning a passing rate of 66.67% over the national passing rate of 23.99%.

The recent Special Professional Licensure Board Exam for Civil Engineers was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission and the PRC Board of Civil Engineering on September 14 to 15, 2016, at PRC testing locations in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Doha Qatar, and Kuwait City, Kuwait.
