Seen here is a full-color of the “red and white” print ad to be published in this Thursday’s respective issues of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Philippine Star. The ad features UE alumna and commencement speaker Patricia N. Arches and the Latin honor recipients among UE’s latest graduates.
Ms. Arches, whom UE had recognized as among the 2006 UE Diamond Jubilee Achiever-Awardees in Business Management, is a Summa Cum Laude graduate and Class Valedictorian of the UE College of Business Administration-Manila, from which she earned her BSBA Accounting degree in 1974. She had been a certified public accountant since topping the 1974 CPA licensure exam. She later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialized studies in corporate finance and strategic planning, in 1978 from Stanford University.
Ms. Arches rose to prominence in the advertising and marketing communications industry as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McCann WorldGroup Philippines, steering the company as a business conglomerate highly capable of providing clients with wide-ranging services in integrated marketing communications solutions. Under Ms. Arches’ leadership, the company received five citations—Best in Management of Business, Market Performance, Media as well as Community and Industry Leadership—and was named Agency of the Year by 4As (Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies).
Ms. Arches later on took the role as Vice-Chairman and President of Operation Smile Philippines, the local arm of the international foundation based in Norfolk, Virginia, USA, that gives free reconstructive surgery to children born with a cleft lip or palate. She continues to share her management expertise and marketing experience to help raise funds and awareness for Operation Smile Philippines as a member of its Board of Advisers.
The UE graduates taking part in this latest UE commencement rite represent the UE Graduate School, the UE Manila Colleges of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Business Administration (CBA), Computer Studies and Systems, Dentistry, Education, and Engineering (CEng’g) and UE Caloocan’s CAS, CBA and CEng’g, and the UE College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design.
Congratulations, Warrior Graduates!
