UE Jam Sessions’ Latest Effort an Invitation to Vote WiselyAs the Philippine election of 2022 draws near, UE Jam Sessions has interpreted “Pinto” (“Door”), an upbeat, late 2021 song with spoken-word elements aimed at enticing one and all to exercise responsible voting.
Originally released in late 2021 by Cosine, a band of three UE SHS Manila STEM students composed of UE vocalist-guitarist Princess Shareena Tariga (the song’s composer), bassist Paolo B. Barrado and guitarist Marvin Cayosa, the latest iteration of “Pinto” features singers belonging to UE Jam Sessions, while the rendition’s official music video features them along with members of the UE Basic Ed. organizations Teatro Silangan, Music Aficionado and Himig Silangan.
The whole project is spearheaded by the UE Caloocan Supreme Student Government and features 42 13- to 18-year-old UE students in all. The song’s music video, which was directed by 16-year-old UE Junior High School student Vivienne Tricia B. Rabano, can be viewed via YouTube: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI7yyw26_vk&t=51s.

Written with the goal of convincing the youth to take complete ownership of their destiny and elect someone who cares about the welfare of the people, the song is one of the several music projects spearheaded by UE Jam Sessions, with 12 Stone Records’ Tommy Tanchanco as executive producer.
“We’re trying to send a strong message to all the voters coming from the young generation to vote for the good of their future,” says Mr. Tanchanco, son of the late UE outstanding graduate and pioneer UE marketing director Jesus T. Tanchanco Sr. “While some of the participants in this campaign are 13- to 17-year-old students, they’re also well aware that their future is at stake in this electoral process. In their own little way, they want to make their voices heard, and appeal to our fellow countrymen to elect pro-people candidates with a compelling track record.”On that note, let’s open our ears, and minds and hearts, to “Pinto,” Warrior listeners!#May2022Elections#UECaloocanSSG#UETeatroSilangan#UEMusicAficionado#HimigSilangan#UEJamSessions#fUElingBrightFutures#TomorrowBeginsintheEast
