The call for research papers for the 3rd UE Balagdiwa at Kamalayan Senior High School National Research Conference is now open!
Committed to its vision of promoting a strong research culture, the University of the East (UE) Basic Education Department-Manila, together with the UE Basic Education Department-Caloocan, is hosting its 3rd Balagdiwa at Kamalayan National Research Conference on May 24-25, 2023, at the Conference Hall in UE Manila.
This year’s UE BED national research conference, the theme of which is “Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Research: Reintegration, Reinvention, Rebuilding for a Sustainable Society,” will focus on the following disciplines:
• Social Science: Humanities, Philosophy, Peace Education, Culture, and Language
• Business, Agriculture, and Entrepreneurship
• Environmental Sustainability and Risk Reduction
• Science and Mathematics Investigatory Project, and
• Information and Communication and Technology, Livelihood Technology, and Sports
The UE Basic Education Department-Manila conceived the succession of Balagdiwa at Kamalayan research conferences as part of its vision of promoting a culture of research.
“Balagdiwa” is an amalgamation of two Filipino words: ‘balag’, which refers to a type of lattice work, and ‘diwa’ meaning thought. “Kamalayan,” meanwhile, pertains to awareness. Hence, the conference aims to be an avenue of exchange for the production, growth and sustenance of thoughts that can be translated into palpable results toward achieving goals. Meanwhile, “Punlasik” (Punlaan ng Karunungan sa Pananaliksik) is UE BED Caloocan’s research forum for teachers, students, and researchers whose passion is to create and conduct research studies.
Participating researchers are enjoined to submit their respective research abstracts through the instructions in the posters seen here. Please submit by or before May 15, 2023.
The UE community is enjoined to attend and participate in this event. Researchers outside the University are equally welcome to participate in this national research conference.
