The University of the East invites everyone to the Special Integrity Forum on Historical Revisionism on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10 a.m. The forum is organized by the Integrity Initiative, and is co-presented by UE, the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center Inc., the Ateneo School of Government and the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde School of Governance and Diplomacy.
This forum aims to discuss historical revisionism in the global and national contexts, its impact on democracy, and how citizens, most especially the youth, are affected by it, and how it can be countered.
Former Philippine Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno will serve as the forum’s keynote speaker.
Giving their reactions to Former Chief Justice Sereno’s talk will be Mr. John Nery, a Trustee of the Asian Center for Journalism at Ateneo de Manila University and a columnist for Rappler; former Commission on Human Rights Chairperson Etta Rosales; and Assistant Professor Lisandro “Leloy” Claudio of the University of California-Berkeley.
Moderating the discussion will be journalist Christian Esguerra, the host of ABS-CBN News Channel’s “After the Fact.”
