The University of the East Graduate School, in collaboration with the City of Cabuyao in Laguna and the UE Office of Extension and Community Outreach (OECO), held its annual Community Outreach Program under the theme \u2018Cascading the GS Vision and Mission Through Community Engagement Initiatives\u2019 at the Integrated Learning Facilities in Cabuyao City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Graced by Honorable Cabuyao Mayor Dennis Felipe C. Hain, this off-campus outreach effort conducted last October 11 was led on UE\u2019s end by Dr. Alberto T. Paala Jr., the Dean of the UE Graduate School, and Dr. Rogelio I. Espiritu, the UE OECO Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key highlight of this community outreach program was the University\u2019s second distribution in the city of 1,500 cans of carabao milk as part of the ongoing 120-day milk-feeding program in partnership with the Philippine Carabao Center. This initiative aims to improve the nutritional well-being of selected community recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outreach program was facilitated by faculty members and students of the UE Graduate School\u2019s various academic programs, along with UE GS staffers, providing an opportunity to showcase their expertise and skills through four projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Project 1: Go on Sale \u2014 an entrepreneurial initiative empowering the community through business development<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Project 2: Go for Safety \u2014 a program focused on safety awareness and preparedness in high-risk activities and industries<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Project 3: Gadgets and Scratchpads \u2014 a seminar workshop on digital design and innovative teaching methods for students and faculty<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Project 4: In Good Shape \u2014 a health and wellness education program that significantly contributes to the well-being of senior citizens in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 100 participants from various barangays of Cabuyao City participated in the outreach activities, helping to underscore UE’s commitment to social responsibility and efforts to broaden the reach of its community service initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
