The UE Chorale, the singing group under the University\u2019s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA), has been awarded as the Grand Prix Winner of the 3rd Sing, Tarlac, Sing! Choral Festival and Competition (STSCFC)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by former member and longtime choirmaster Darwin B. Vargas, the UE Chorale also won several other awards at the inter-choir competition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Champion of the Mixed Choir Competition*
\u2022 Champion of the Musica Sacra Competition*
\u2022 Best Performance of an A Capella Work, for John August Pamintuan\u2019s rendition of \u201cLaudate Dominum\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* The UE Chorale was awarded two golden-embossed laurels or gold diplomas for these category championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sing, Tarlac, Sing! Choral Festival & Competition 2025 was organized by Tarlac M\u00e4nnerchor and in cooperation with the City Government of Tarlac. This national choral festival \u201caims to gather the best choral groups across the country, and it is a non-profit event that promotes choral music appreciation and a continuous contribution towards a vision of a Singing Philippines\u201d per the event\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UE Chorale bested some 25 other choirs from various parts of and beyond the National Capital Region, including those of Adamson University, Mapua University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and National University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
