UE’s Newest Topnotchers Earn 2nd, 8th Places in October 2017 CPA Board Exam!


Congratulations to the UE College of Business Administration (CBA) graduates of UE Manila and UE Caloocan who passed the latest licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) held on October 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2017! They are led by UE’s latest topnotchers: 2nd Placer Judy Ann Malate Tuzon (exam average: 91.17%) and 8th Placer Uriah Rosario Diaz (exam average: 89.83%)!

Both Ms. Tuzon (top photo) and Mr. Diaz (below photo) are April 2017 Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduates of UE CBA Manila. Ms. Tuzon earned her degree, Magna cum Laude, while Mr. Diaz earned his, Summa cum Laude. Mr. Diaz was also UE CBA Manila’s College Distinguished Graduate Awardee.

As a UE student, Ms. Tuzon was a Megaworld Scholar and a UE Integrated University Scholar. She served as Director for Special Events of the UE Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UE-JPIA) and was a member of the UE Bright Leaders’ Association for Zeal and Excellence (UE BLAZE).


Mr. Diaz was a scholar of the UE-Tan Yan Kee Foundation Inc. and of the Commission on Higher Education. He was a UE Exemplary Academic Performance Awardee and a UE Exemplary Performance in Inter-School Competitions Awardee.

UE’s Colleges of Business Administration both had a strong showing in the recent CPA Board Exam. UE CBA Manila had a passing rate of 51.61%, while UE CBA Caloocan’s was 49.37%. These are against the National Passing Rate of 30.45%
