UE Commemorates Former Chairman’s 10th Death Anniversary

The UE community remembers the late Dr. Panfilo O. Domingo, former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the University of the East, on his 10th death anniversary today, June 26, 2018.

Several Holy Masses will be held today in Chairman Domingo’s name, including at the Chapel at the Rizal Hall in UE Manila and at the PNB Chapel on Diosdado Macapagal Avenue, both at 9 a.m.; at the PNB Building on Ayala Avenue in Makati City at 8 a.m.; and at the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Inc. Chapel at 12 noon.

A commemorative exhibit about Dr. Domingo will be opened today at the PNB Building Lobby on Ayala Avenue and at the PNB Financial Center Hall on Diosdado Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City. The latter venue will also host “Remembering P. O.,” a special program to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Domingo.

Dr. Domingo is one of UE’s finest graduates. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Magna Cum Laude, from what is now the UE College of Business Administration-Manila in 1950. He became a certified public accountant after passing the 1950 CPA licensure exam.

Aside from having been Chairman-CEO of UE from 1990 until he passed away on June 26, 2008, Dr. Domingo was also Chairman-CEO of UERMMMCI, and Vice Chairman and Executive Director of the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc., and had been President of the Philippine National Bank.

UE could not be what it is today without one of Lualhati’s pride and glory, Dr. P. O. Domingo. Thank you for everything, Mr. Chairman!
