UE’s Bachelor of Elementary Education, Secondary Education Degree Programs Now Level III PAASCU Accredited!

The UE College of Education’s degree programs of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) have been granted Level III Accreditation Status by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU)!

The Level III Accredited status authorizes UE CEduc to offer new courses allied to the existing Level III courses without the need for prior approval of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), provided that the concerned CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO) is duly informed. This also entitles the University and the College to the privilege of applying for authority to offer new graduate programs, open learning/distance education and extension classes, and participation in transnational education.

The list of benefits of PAASCU accreditation can be viewed on the Association’s website: http://paascu.org.ph/?page_id=3770

The UE BEEd and BSEd programs’ PAASCU Level III Accreditations are up to the year 2020, before which the College would be working on the next step, Level IV Accreditation, and on the College’s application as a CHED Center of Development.

The UE College of Education is headed by Dr. Evelina M. Vicencio as Dean and Prof. Cynthia Grace L. Diaz as College Secretary, with Dr. Eva Aurora D. Callueng as Chairperson of the Department of Professional Education.

For the record, UE CEduc’s Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, with Prof. Marie Geraldine N. Liboro as Chairperson, is PAASCU Level I Accredited, while the College’s brand new Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences, major in Fitness and Sports Management program, has been acknowledged by CHED.

Congratulations to the officers and constituents of the UE College of Education!
