The UE CAMANAVA Studies Forum, under the University of the East College of Arts and Sciences-Caloocan (UE CAS Caloocan), is inviting researchers across academic disciplines to submit research work for the UE CAMANAVA Studies Fourth Biennial International Conference! This international conference will be held on February 8 to 10, 2019, in UE Caloocan, and will be all about Quality Education for Sustainable Development.

The call for research papers is open to teachers, students and professionals from CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) and elsewhere in Metro Manila and in the country, and even those based outside the Philippines.

The conference is aimed at helping to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4, i.e., “Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.” As such, topics of interest for presentation in the conference can be about Assuring Quality Education for Sustainable Development in the fields of (1) Accountancy and Business Administration, (2) Agriculture and Biotechnology, (3) Basic and Teacher Education, (4) Communication and Social Sciences, (5) Health and Other Medical Sciences, (6) Engineering and Architecture, (7) Fine Arts and Design, (8) Computer and Information Technology, (9) Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and (10) Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Key speakers from government agencies and members of the academe, both from here and abroad will be present at the event.

Now on its fourth year, the UE CAMANAVA Studies Biennial Conference is a higher education forum organized and conducted by the UE CAS Caloocan that promotes basic and applied research in the arts, the humanities, the sciences and allied disciplines. The conference provides a venue for extensive presentations from a variety of paper presenters ranging from students to faculty members and school officials and hailing from within UE’s Caloocan and Manila campuses and other institutions within and beyond CAMANAVA.

The UE CAMANAVA Studies Forum promotes basic and applied research in different fields of study so as to help solve problems confronting local and global communities. The Forum started as a development-oriented forum for scholars, researchers and academicians of the different academic disciplines addressing the problems of UE Caloocan’s immediate community, i.e., the administrative Metro Manila district of CAMANAVA. The forum eventually included research topics that address local, national, and international issues.

The deadline for abstract submissions is on November 8, 2018. Accepted presenters will be notified within 30 days after submission.

This forthcoming International Conference on Quality Education for Sustainable Development is co-convened by international partners Thailand’s Maejo University, Chiang Mai University and Prince of Songkla University, and Japan’s Soka University, and the UE Colleges of Arts and Sciences-Manila, Business Administration-Caloocan, Engineering-Caloocan and Fine Arts Architecture and Design, the UE Graduate School, and the UE Office of Research Coordination and Office of Extension and Community Outreach.
