UE Graduate School Holds 4th Kamaynilaan Research Conference


The UE Graduate School is inviting the UE community, researchers and other interested parties to the fourth ueKAMAYNILAAN Research Conference, whose theme is “Exploring the Forest of Metropolitan Societies through the Lenses of Research.”

The latest KAMAYNILAAN event, which began as a lecture series, will be held this Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Multipurpose Hall of the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building in UE Caloocan.

Dr. Epictetus Patalinghug, Professor Emeritus of the Virata School of Business of UP Diliman, will deliver the keynote address on “Infrastructure Development: The Philippine Experience.”

Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace, the Director of the Center for Peace and Development of Miriam College and one of the speakers of the 1st Ikeda Symposium held last February, will deliver a plenary lecture on “Assessment of Thirty Years of Peace Education in the Philippines: Implications for Research.”

Conference activities include parallel paper presentations by graduate students and faculty of UE and other graduate schools.

The Conference is part of the UE Graduate School’s 70th-anniversary celebration and coincides with the University’s 72nd Foundation Anniversary.
