The cast: (clockwise) Kaye as Beauty, Jae-Ann as Chubbs and Thresha as Tiny

As a culminating activity, as well as a Family Day event, students of the UE College of Education’s Children’s Literature Course with Prof. Binky Manalastas will stage a J. Dennis C. Teodosio one-act play entitled “Pobreng Alindanaw” on Friday, March 13, 3 p.m. at the Conference Hall, UE Manila.

The play is a hilarious allegory on man’s daily struggle for self-acceptance. The play starts off as a children’s folktale, the characters being everyday insects such as dragonflies and a butterfly. However, the issues brought into fore by the characters turn this otherwise comic fantasy into a serious review of one’s personality.

UE Bachelor of Elementary Education (UE BEEd) sophomore Kaye Frances Rita E. Apeña directs and plays the lead role of Beauty. The rest of the cast are: UE Bachelor of Secondary Education freshman Jea-Ann Angeles as Chubbs and BEEd freshman Thresha Grace M. Eleda as Tiny Admission is free of charge.
