UE conducts free seminar-workshop for guidance counselors

The University of the East (UE) will conduct a free seminar-workshop entitled “Current Trends and Techniques in Guidance Counseling”, on Friday, May 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the UE Manila Conference Hall, 4/F, Dalupan Bldg., 2219 C. M. Recto Ave., Manila. The forum’s main resource person is Dr. Imelda Virginia G. Villar, incumbent President of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association, Inc. (PGCAI)

This is the third free seminar for guidance counselors organized by the UE Marketing Dept. in three consecutive years, in coordination with the UE Manila and Caloocan Guidance Offices; in line with UE’s outreach thrusts and providing assistance to the professionalization and continuing education of guidance counselors.  Dr. Rosa Maria Llanes, former PGCA President and current President of the Integrated Professional Counselors Association of the Philippines (IPCAP), Inc. was the featured speaker of the preceding seminars.

Expected participants of this seminar-workshop are secondary school guidance counselors from Metro Manila and from the provinces. Discussions will center on the new approaches and innovative strategies in providing guidance to secondary students.
