SC Chief Justice Corona Impeachment Trial symposium at UE on Jan. 30


The University of the East (UE), through its University Student Council (UE USC) and Student Affairs Office, Manila (UE SAO-Manila), will hold a symposium on the ongoing Impeachment Trial of Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona, entitled “Justice or Madness?: Analyses and Perspectives on the Impeachment Case against Chief Justice Corona”.

Spearheaded by the UE USC, this symposium aims at increasing UE Students’ awareness on and keeping them informed of the current political, legal, and social issues besetting the country. Scheduled on Monday, January 30, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Conference Hall in UE Manila, the forum features three prominent speakers namely, UE College of Law Dean Dr. Amado D. Valdez, Integrated Bar of the Philippines Governor for Northern Luzon Atty. Dennis Habawel and political analyst and Publicos Company Limited Founder and General Manager Malou Tiquia.

Dean Valdez will discuss “Substantiating the Impeachment Case; Atty. Habawel, the Flaws and Politics of the Impeachment; and Ms Tiquia, the Philippine Democracy and the Impeachment.
