UE presents IPAG’s “Tales from Mindanao”

The University of the East, in collaboration with the Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) will stage, as its SY 2009-2010 cultural presentations opening salvo, the “Tales from Mindanao” at 2 p.m., Monday, August 17 at the UE Theater, UE Manila.

The “Tales from Mindanao”, IPAG’s most toured international production, is a collection of over 20 music-dance-drama vignettes on tales of love, folk legends, conflict of tradition and modernity, concern for the environment, and the Southern Philippines folk’s comic follies. It features ethnic-inspired motifs and the IPAG Dance Theater signature movements. IPAG, based at the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, has performed in over 100 cities worldwide. This UE presentation of the “Tales of Mindanao” is the 1st leg of IPAG’s national road shows.

Admission to the show is free on a first-come-first-served basis and is open to the UE community including the UE alumni.
