Warrior Graduate is FPJ Excellence Awardee!


Congratulations to fresh UE graduate Jeric James C. Pernitez who, shortly before graduating with his fellow UE College of Business Administration-Caloocan seniors last April 24, was conferred the Fernando Poe Jr. Excellence Award!

The Fernando Poe Jr. Excellence Award is given to deserving and outstanding youth leaders by the partnership of the Office of Senator Grace Poe and the National Youth Commission. Mr. Pernitez’s is the first ever FPJ Excellence Awardee from UE Caloocan.

Prior to earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAcT) degree from UE at last April’s first of three collegiate yearend commencement rites, Mr. Pernitez had been a Megaworld scholar and an outstanding youth leader inside and outside the University.

He was the former President of UE Caloocan’s Information Technology Club. He later on became the Vice President for Promotions of the Association of Taxation and Law Students (ATLAS). He spearheaded most of ATLAS’ seminars which tackled current events and youth empowerment. He also led Team ATLAS in the University of the Philippines Circle of Entrepreneurs’ (UPCE) Young Entrepreneurs’ 2013 Convention “50/50: Be Their Lifeline,” as they became the Champion with their winning idea, “The ATLAS Wild Rice Project.”

Mr. Pernitez was also the Chairman of Tinig ng Silangan Party Alliance for the February 2014 student elections in UE Caloocan. The Alliance yielded 38 victories out of 50 for the Caloocan Campus’ University Student Council posts.
