UE CBA Manila Professor Presents Entrepreneurial Paper in Florida Conference

UE College of Business Administration-Manila Professor and UE Manila On-the-Job Training Coordinator Jayme C. Ignacio presented his paper on entrepreneurship at the 2015 ASBE/EEP Conference held on September 23-25, 2015 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA. The conference was jointly organized by the Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ASBE) and the Entrepreneurship Education Project, both of which are professional organizations of educators based in the United States.

Prof. Ignacio, through his paper titled “Integrated Entrepreneurial Venture: Re-engineering Business Education in the University of the East,” tackled the pedagogical way of teaching entrepreneurship to students, particularly to non-entrepreneurship students of majors such as Business Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management and Business Economics.

Prof. Ignacio’s discussion also included how entrepreneurial undertaking can be done in an educational institution even if it is not offering any entrepreneurship course. His presentation also emphasized the possibility that the methodology will enable non-entrepreneurship students to develop their entrepreneurial acumen.

The other conference attendees expressed interest as his paper was noted to be unique, since all of the representatives presented researches and practices directly in line with their entrepreneurship course offering.

Professor Ignacio was the lone Philippine representative, with the other attendees coming from Jamaica, Indonesia, India and the USA.
