Call for Papers Announced for UE CAMANAVA Studies International Conference






The University of the East College of Arts and Sciences-Caloocan (UE CAS Caloocan) is inviting researchers across different academic disciplines and related fields to submit research work to the UE CAMANAVA Studies Third Biennial International Conference on Emerging Discourses and Issues in Sustainable Development. The conference will be held on February 3 to 5, 2017, at the Multi-Purpose Hall 3 of the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building in UE Caloocan.

The call is open to teachers, students or professionals from CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) and elsewhere in Metro Manila and in the Philippines, and even those based abroad. This year’s conference is aimed to help advance sustainable development by providing a venue for the exchange of ideas and findings of research on the emerging discourses and issues in such a development.

The papers to be submitted for presentation in plenary or parallel sessions should be research papers on emerging discourses and issues in sustainable development in the following fields: (1) Agricultural Science and Technology, (2) Business and Hospitality Management, (3) Environmental Science and Management, (4) Engineering and Technology, (5) Humanities and Communication, (6) Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and (7) Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Now on its third year, the UE CAMANAVA Studies Biennial Conference is a higher education forum organized and conducted by the UE CAS Caloocan that promotes basic and applied research in the arts, the humanities, the sciences and allied disciplines. The conference provides a venue for extensive presentations from a variety of paper presenters ranging from students to faculty members and school officials and hailing from within UE’s Caloocan and Manila campuses and other institutions within and beyond CAMANAVA.

The deadline for abstract submissions is on November 3, 2016. Accepted presenters will be notified within 10 days after submission.
