UE AB Int’l Studies Student is Best Position Paper Awardee at Model UN Conference


Congratulations to Ms. Maria Danica Rina Constantino, an AB International Studies junior of the UE College of Arts and Sciences-Manila, for winning the Best Position Paper Award at the United Nations General Assembly of the 5th UP Model United Nations held on October 29-30, 2017 at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Quezon City.

Ms. Constantino, as representative of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, tackled “The Role of Media and Business Sector in Mobilising Civil Society against Terrorism.”

Other UE students who participated in this conference were UE Manila Grade 11 HUMSS student Marco Mamangon; AB IS juniors Tatiana Beatrice Fermo, Gabriel Luis Dormiendo, Ma. Josephine Coronel, Healy Mareh Reyes, Ramjee Gilbert Camaro II, Michael Sosa, Bea Legaspi, Mary Rion Nicole Nuñez, Maristela Cruz, Kathrina Batac, Mary Emily Geraldine Perez and Camille Jessamee Comia; AB IS Seniors Patrick Conde and Robert Lawrence Laureta; and AB IS alumna Patrick Earl Binua.


UE International Studies senior Joaquin Alfonso Toledo chaired the UPMUN General Assembly while Eduardo Lim Jr., a graduate of UE’s AB IS program, chaired the UPMUN Economic and Social Council.

The UP Model United Nations is a flagship event organized by the University of the Philippines Samahan sa Agham Pampulitika.
