Warrior BSCpE Student Makes it to ‘Robolympix’ Top 3!

Kearllan Aeymard M. Del Castillo, a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering student of the UE College of Engineering-Manila, emerged as the 3rd Place winner in the Sumobot category of the recently concluded Robolympix 2018!

Sumobots refer to robots pitted in robot-sumo, where two, usually miniature robots attempt to push each other out of a circle the way wrestlers do in Japan’s sumo matches.

Mr. Del Castillo bested 12 fellow participants (out of 15 in all) to earn a 3rd-place finish at the competition, which was held on October 12, 2018, at the SMX Convention Center.

Robolympix 2018 is a project of Manufacturing Technology World and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

Congratulations, Computer Engineering Warrior!
