UE CEduc Alumnus is 2019 Most Outstanding Nutrition-Dietetics Student!


Vince Esparago Olmido, an April 2019 Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics of the UE College of Education, was hailed as the Philippine Association of Nutrition (PAN)’s Most Outstanding Nutrition and Dietetics Student for 2019.

He will be feted during PAN’s 72nd Anniversary and Annual Convention, which will be held July 10-11, 2019, at the Quest Plus Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga.

Mr. Olmido is the third consecutive UE BSND student to receive the award. Ms. Patricia Louise C. Cajipe and Mr. Michael Angelo A. Pascual received the Most Outstanding Nutrition and Dietetics Student Award in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

As a UE student, Mr. Olmido served as the President of the PAN-Sigma Chi Chapter for school year 2018-2019. Prior to serving as the organization’s President, he was PAN-Sigma Chi’s Assistant Vice President-Internal in SY 2017-2018, and 2nd-year Representative in SY 2016-2017.

Mr. Olmido was a recipient of the University’s Integrated Scholarship Program during some of his semesters in UE. He was also an Exemplary Academic Performance Awardee during the UE Recognition Program in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

In the 2019 Edukarangalan, the UE College of Education’s Annual Awards Program, Mr. Olmido was given the Edukasipagan Award and the Edukarunungan Award, in recognition of his dedication to PAN-Sigma Chi and the UE College of Education. He received his first Edukarangalan recognition in 2018, when he was awarded the Edukagalingan Award during that year’s ceremony.

The Most Outstanding Nutrition and Dietetics Student honor is conferred on a nutrition and dietetics student with good scholastic standing who is also an active member of the PAN chapter of his school.
