Newest Warrior Topnotcher: Solo 3rd Place in November 2019 CE Exam!


Congratulations to the UE College of Engineering-Manila and -Caloocan graduates who passed the latest Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers administered by the Professional Regulation Commission last November 9 and 10, 2019!

They are led by UE’s latest topnotcher, Engr. Christian Mark Nagrejo Macapagao, who earned solo 3rd Place with an exam average of 92.90%!

He bested examinees from schools such as the University of the Philippines-Diliman, De La Salle University and Ateneo de Davao University, who had examinees in the Top 10 as well.

Engr. Macapagao earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the UE College of Engineering-Caloocan in UE’s 71st Yearend Commencement Rites last April 26, 2019, at the PICC Plenary Hall. He was also the College’s College Distinguished Graduate Awardee at his graduation and was a UE-Tan Yan Kee Foundation Inc. scholar.

As a UE CEng’g student, Engr. Macapagao was a member of the Association of Civil Engineering Students, serving as the organization’s Academic Director for school year 2018-2019. He was the Vice Chairman for Academics of the Lualhati League of Scholars in SY 2017-2018, and the Art Director of Silangan Film Circle in SY 2016-2017.

He was likewise the Champion in the NCR Qualifiers of the National Civil Engineering Students’ Quiz in September 2018, and was 5th Place in the nationwide edition of the quiz bee in November 2018.

Both the UE Colleges of Engineering-Manila and Caloocan had a good showing in the recent licensure exam, with UE Manila attaining a passing rate of 47.52% and UE Caloocan scoring a passing rate of 48.70%. These are against the national passing percentage of 43.18%.
