Aspiring Degree Holder and Transferee applicants to the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program of the UE College of Dentistry can start applying for the Dentistry Qualifying Examination!
(Note: “Transferees” here refers to students who have already completed their first or second year as Dentistry students.)
These are the guidelines and procedures:
1. Send a PDF copy of your official Transcript of Records for academic evaluation purposes to UE CDent Associate Dean Dr. Margaret Tiu (margaret.tiu@ue.edu.ph).
2. An Evaluation and Accreditation of Courses form will be emailed to you after the academic evaluation. You will need to affix your signature on the form to confirm the academic evaluation and accreditation of courses.
3. For Degree Holders: Apply for admission eligibility via email to the UE Admissions Office-Manila (admission@ue.edu.ph). Attach the signed Evaluation and Accreditation of Courses Form in your email to the UE AdO Manila.
For Transferees: Apply for the UE College Entrance Test (UE CET) through the UE AdO Manila (admission@ue.edu.ph). Attach the signed Evaluation and Accreditation of Courses Form in your email to the UE AdO Manila.
4. Once admission eligibility is confirmed by the UE AdO Manila via email, apply for the Dentistry Qualifying Examination. The following are the guidelines for application to facilitate the identification of examinees and scheduling of the examination:
4.1. You must have a Gmail address.
4.2. Using your Gmail address, send to margaret.tiu@ue.edu.ph the following:
4.2.1. Your complete name
4.2.2. The name of the last school attended
4.2.3. The degree program completed (for degree holders) or degree program previously enrolled in (for transferees)
4.2.4. Preferred date and time (every Monday as part of the morning or afternoon batch)
4.2.5. A screenshot of admission eligibility confirmation or result of UE CET (from the UE AdO)
4.2.6. A PDF copy of the signed Evaluation and Accreditation of Courses Form.
By providing such information and requirements, you authorize the UE College of Dentistry to use your information and that you agree to receive communication through your Gmail address. Collected information will be used solely for the scheduling of your examination date and the email will be deleted soon after you agree to the provided schedule.
5. You will receive a schedule (date and time) for taking the UE Dentistry Qualifying Examination, which will be given every Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for the morning batch, and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. for the afternoon batch starting on May 13, 2024. Please remember your assigned date and time, as you will be given only ONE schedule (Example: May 20, 2024, 2:30-4 p.m.).
6. Send a reply to confirm the schedule assigned to you. By doing so, you will be included in the list of examinees on the scheduled date and time.
7. The Google examination form will be emailed to you on the scheduled date and time. You will be given one and a half hours to finish and submit your examination form. Failure to do so forfeits your opportunity to accomplish the qualifying requirements of the UE Doctor of Dental Medicine program.
Be informed that the Dexterity Test is suspended as part of the qualifying examinations for UE DMD applicants of the First Semester of SY 2024-2025
Thank you, aspiring dentists, and we hope to welcome you as Warrior Dentistry Freshmen!
