The University of the East is inviting researchers across academic disciplines to submit research work for the UE CAMANAVA Studies Fifth International Conference.
This international conference will be held on April 21 to 22, 2022, in UE Caloocan, and will be all about Resilience, Reorientation and Reinvention in the New Normal.
This call for research papers is open to all teachers, students and professionals—be they be based in CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) or elsewhere in Metro Manila and in the country, or outside the Philippines.
The conference is aimed to propel reinventions in various disciplines for reorienting resilient recovery systems in the new normal. As such, topics of interest for presentation in the conference can be about, but are not limited to, the following —

4. Tourism and Hospitality Response toward and Recovery from Covid-19

Now on its fifth year, the UE CAMANAVA Studies Conference is a higher education forum that promotes basic and applied research in the arts, the humanities, the sciences and allied disciplines. The conference provides a venue for extensive presentations from a variety of paper presenters ranging from students to faculty members and school officials and hailing from within UE’s Caloocan and Manila campuses and other institutions within and beyond CAMANAVA.
The UE CAMANAVA Studies Conference promotes basic and applied research in different fields of study, to help solve problems confronting local and global communities. The Forum started as a development-oriented forum for scholars, researchers and academicians of the different academic disciplines addressing the problems of UE Caloocan’s immediate community, i.e., the administrative Metro Manila district of CAMANAVA. The forum eventually included research topics that address local, national, and international issues.
The latest deadline for abstract submissions is on February 28, 2022. Proposed paper presentations should be emailed in the form of an abstract (which should be accepted before the full paper is submitted) to camanava@ue.edu.ph
Submitted abstracts should adhere to the following guidelines:
1. The abstract shall contain the title, the author’s name, brief statements of the main and specific problems, the methodology, the findings, and the conclusion.
2. It shall be an abstract of an original work about one of the topics indicated in the Conference Scope.
3. Two spaces after the title, the following information about the author must be supplied:
a. Name: Title (Dr., Mr., Ms.) First name, M.I., Surname
b. Name of the school or institution affiliated with
c. Mailing address and email address
d. Contact number
4. The abstract should not exceed 300 words; the title shall not exceed 12 words, and not contain abbreviations or words that serve no purpose.
5. The abstract body should be single-spaced.
6. The abstract shall be encoded using MS Word and saved as a document (and not as a PDF file), using Arial 12 points for text, 16 points bold for the title and 14 points bold for the author details.
7. The announcement of the acceptance shall be on or before March 15, 2022.
8. Accepted abstracts shall be edited for publication in the conference’s souvenir program.
Note: Parallel-seassion paper presentations at the Conference per se shall each be for 15 minutes only.
This forthcoming International Conference on Resilience, Reorientation and Reinvention in the New Normal is co-convened by three international partners: Malaysia’s Universiti Sains Malaysia School of Housing, Building and Planning, Japan’s Soka University, and Thailand’s Maejo University.
