A team of UE College of Engineering-Caloocan students taking up Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Students has been awarded as the Third Best Online Presenter at the recent 2nd International Research Conference in the Academe and Industry!
The conference was organized and hosted by Asian Intellect for Academic Organization and Development Inc., and was conducted earlier this month via Zoom. The conference’s winning UE team is composed of fourth-year UE CEng’g Caloocan BSCE students Dean Earol P. Cuizon, Jester John C. Loreto, Philip John C. Mercado, and Fitzgerald M. Tañala—the latter the group’s presenter at the conference—with Engr. Eduardo B. Leron Jr. as their adviser.
The UE team’s winning paper is titled “Digital Construction through BIM Systems for Engineering Practices amidst the Pandemic,” written with the aim of knowing the status of the construction industry in the Philippines in terms of using the building information modeling
(BIM) system in engineering practices.
Their paper was accepted by the organization last October 21, for competition at the conference as it was held last November 6 and 7. The team was given 10 minutes for the presentation and another ten minutes for a question-and-answer segment. The panelists were composed of PhDs, professors, and other experts from around the world. The other presenters were from 12 other schools from across the globe.
Congratulations on this achievement, Civil Engineering Warriors!
