The University of the East-Caloocan Central Student Council (CSC) has received two ultrasonic humidifier disinfecting misting machines, along with two boxes of one-gallon bottles of alcohol, from the Quezon City-based Accuteqs Renal Center as part of the CSC’s initiative named “hUEmidify,” which aims to provide safe air for UE Caloocan constituents. The machines and boxes of alcohol were brought to UE Caloocan this past Thursday, November 18, 2021.
According to UE Caloocan CSC President Saida M. Manap, the project’s initiative is to lower the risk of contracting the flu by rapidly deactivating particles, making them less contagious. It is also a great way to add moisture to the air and help eliminate germs. It is also meant to help curb the spread of Covid-19 by disinfecting the members of the UE Caloocan community who will set foot on campus.
The humidifier disinfecting misting machines will be placed in the contact tracing area, near UE Caloocan’s Samson Road Gate, and at the Admissions Building lobby, between the Admissions Office and the Cashier’s window.

A big thank you to Accuteqs Renal Center for this donation, and kudos to the UE Caloocan CSC for this very timely and relevant initiative!
