The winning tradition of the University of the East continues as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture graduate of the UE College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design (UE CFAD) clinched the lone 1st Place topnotcher in the recently concluded Architect Licensure Exam (ALE)!
Architect Sherilyn Reyes Baniago—who earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the UE CFAD in the University’s first-ever Virtual Yearend Commencement Rites (which featured her in-toga photo as seen here) that aired on November 21, 2020—topped the national roster of 1,809 newly minted architects to secure the top spot in the Jan. 24 & 26, 2024, ALE with an exam percentage of 85.50%.
Ar. Baniago likewise makes the historic feat of being the first UE BS Arch graduate to emerge as an ALE topnotcher of any Top 10 rank!
UE CFAD graduates also performed well in the recent board exam, attaining for their Alma Mater a collective passing percentage of 78.57% (11 new architects out of 14 examinees). This is against the national passing percentage of 61.70% (1,809 new architects out of 2,932 examinees nationwide).
Moreover, of those 11 UE CFAD graduates, eight were first-timers, making for a UE CFAD first-timers passing percentage of 80.00.
