College of Education

Ever conscious of its responsibility as a responsive part of a university system, the College of Education has taken for its goal the development of highly qualified teachers and nutritionists-dietitians and globally competitive education leaders and nutrition specialists.

Towards the achievement of this goal, the College aims:

    1. To provide an essential education foundation for the students that will imbue them with the commitment to function effectively and efficiently as humane persons, as ethical and productive professionals, and as environmentally conscious and concerned members of their community;

    2. To instill in the students a continuing quest for learning through inquiry while being guided by rational, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for work well done;

    3. To develop in the students a high respect for the rights and freedoms of others even as they assert their own rights and freedoms in their everyday lives but, in particular, in the performance of their educational responsibilities as seekers of knowledge and truth and as facilitators of learning;

    4. To evolve and implement innovative programs that meet the demands for quality education and nutritional service for all in a dynamic, socially aware national community; and

    5. To direct, expand, and enrich its educational programs, making them useful and accessible to all sectors so that they become instruments for the transformation of our society into one that is proud of its Filipino heritage and values integrity, honesty, and accountability in all aspects of life.
