Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting (ABBD) at the University of the East College of Arts and Sciences-Manila is designed to prepare students for careers in the media industry, through a broad range of subjects related to media literacy, media production, communication, and journalism. It also offers a platform for voices and issues typically underrepresented or ignored by traditional media outlets.
UE ABBD students will gain essential journalistic skills necessary for job opportunities in news production and broadcast journalism, such as researching, writing, and reporting news stories. The UE AB Broadcasting program trains students in radio and television broadcasting, digital media production, video production, interactive media, and emerging media. This program further customizes studentsโ learning to meet their career goals by providing specific knowledge and skills relevant to their chosen field.
Knowing how to work well with a team is an essential skill for any career and this is one of many goals of the Association of Broadcasting Students (ABS) as the recognized student organization for UE ABBD students. The ABS community is UE Manilaโs โfive-peatโ Most Outstanding Organization that enables both its officers and members an opportunity to network, meet new students from other institutions, make connections, and build relationships that all help down the line in their futures as professionals.
