Nard Hartney S. Molina, a 2013 UE College of Business Administration-Caloocan graduate, has been honored with the prestigious Young Achiever in Public Practice Award by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA)!
This accolade honors Mr. Molina’s extraordinary professional success at such a young point in his career and his substantial contributions to accounting.
A certified public accountant (CPA) in the Philippines and the United States of America and a certified management accountant in the USA, Mr. Molina has risen to prominence in the accounting world since earning his UE Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) degree. Renowned for his remarkable technical expertise and creative approach, he has been instrumental in driving financial strategy and delivering high-impact results in the Philippines and in the United States of America. Within his field, his work has established him as a reliable practitioner, an external auditor, and a professional leader.

Mr. Molina received his newest PICPA award at the 79th PICPA Annual National Convention in Davao City last November 21. PICPA’s Young Achiever Award recognizes individuals under age 35 for their exceptional contributions, unwavering commitment, and inspiring leadership in advancing the accounting profession locally and internationally. Mr. Molina was also a PICPA awardee in 2020 for Special Achievement in Community Service (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1URa6ibZs5/).
Besides being an accountant and auditor, Mr. Molina is also an educator, humanitarian, entrepreneur, and business leader. Formerly based in Novaliches, Quezon City until, earlier this decade, moving to New York City (NYC), USA, he recently moved to Ireland, where he continues the public practice and is working on pooling a network of accountants to establish an Ireland-based PICPA affiliation.
A professional with a solid ethical framework coupled with a willingness to educate others, Mr. Molina has come far since graduating in 2013. That same year, he joined Deloitte Philippines as an Audit Junior and three years before passing the licensure examination for Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in the USA then assuming the position of Audit Senior at the NYC-based Galleros Robinson CPAs LLP. In 2018, he was accredited as a CPA by the PRC Board of Accountancy and as a BIR Tax Practitioner, and became a managing partner-proprietor of his namesake NHSM CPAs Accounting Consulting and Financial Services, then launched his initial business venture, NHSM Tailoring Shop, in 2019.
In 2020, Mr. Molina successfully completed the CPA licensure examination in the State of New York and assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer of the accounting group Aliapps. In 2022, he became an accredited as CPA by the Philippines’ Cooperative Development Committee (CDA) and opened businesses in Siargao, Surigao del Norte, and in 2023 became an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Chartered Accountant. This year saw Mr. Molina expanding his firm NHSM CPAs by hiring 21 new, young accounting and consulting experts.
Mr. Molina’s potential as an accomplished professional, and as a person filled with persistence, effort, and drive to grow and learn, was evident in his years as a BSA student in UE Caloocan, during which he was a scholar of the Quezon City government’s Scholarship and Youth Development Program (SYDP) and of the Commission on Higher Education. He had been the Vice President of UE Caloocan’s Central Student Council (CSC), President and Student Adviser of the Association of Tax and Law Students, and Auditor of Mathematics Society, among other titles and orgs. He was the champion in the Best Business Case Study category of the 6th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit in 2011, and was declared by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants as one of the Most Outstanding JPIAN Finalists in 2013. He even became a Philippine Student Ambassador to Japan of the aforesaid JENESYS in 2010 and a Philippine exchange student in South Korea in 2012. At the 2012 recognition program for UE Caloocan college student achievers, he was given the Award for Exemplary Performance in Interschool Competitions — and was also commended for sending UE delegates to Thailand for an exchange program, as a project while he was the UE CSC Vice President.
