UE Joins National Observance of Privacy Awareness Week

The University of the East joins the rest of the country in observing this last week of May 2020 as Privacy Awareness Week.

Led by the National Privacy Commission (NPC), this year’s observance of Privacy Awareness Week has “Enabling Trust in the New Normal: Reimagining Privacy in the Time of Pandemic” as theme.

The NPC’s specific Privacy Awareness Week announcement can be seen here: https://www.privacy.gov.ph/

The NPC’s latest public health emergency (PHE) bulletin, regarding “Protecting Personal Data in a Work from Home Arrangement,” can be seen here: https://www.privacy.gov.ph/2020/05/npc-phe-bulletin-no-12-protecting-personal-data-in-a-work-from-home-arrangement/

Just like other institutions abiding by Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012, UE has had a data privacy policy in place in safeguarding the data it collects for official purposes, especially those of the University’s students, as indicated in the UE data privacy poster seen with this post.

Thank you and take care, Warriors.
