An important call for punctuality at this week’s commencement rites:

Candidates for midyear 2012 graduation are highly advised to be on time at the commencement rites this Thursday afternoon, December 6, 2012.

Assembly time starts at 12:30 p.m. at the 2nd-floor bridgeway of the PICC, near the Plenary Hall. The processional/entrance into the Plenary Hall will start around 1:30 p.m. This is so that the commencement rites proper can start at 2:00 p.m. sharp.

Latecomer candidates for graduation, as in those who will arrive at any point after 1:30 p.m., will have to be seated at a section reserved for latecomers, which will be at the back of the graduating students’ area. In other words, latecomers will not get to sit with their classmates/coursemates.

In addition, latecomers will not get to march and go up onstage during the portion of the program when their classmates/coursemates will be called. Instead, all latecomers will be called as the last set of individuals to come up onstage. (This means that only after all of the non-latecomer graduates of the Graduate School and the different Colleges have accepted their diplomas—with the last set being those of the Colleges of Business Administration—will the latecomers get to march to the stage and get their diploma.)

In short:

1) Latecomers will not be seated with their classmates/coursemates.

2) Latecomers will not get to march with their classmates/coursemates.

For the information and compliance of the candidates for midyear 2012 graduation, as well as of their parents and/or guardians. Thank you.
