UE hosts CVIF-DLP national convention

The University of the East, through the Elementary and Secondary Laboratory Schools (ESLS) in UE Manila and the Elementary and High School Department (EHSD) in UE Caloocan, is one of a growing number of academic institutions in the Philippines that have adopted the Dynamic Learning Program for its curriculum.

Now, UE gets to host the CVIF-DLP National Convention, to be held on August 17, 2013, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the UE Theater. Academic practitioners and organizations from all over are all invited.

Participants will get to learn more about the experiences and best practices of schools across the country which have adopted the CVIF Dynamic Learning Program. which is a framework of teaching that develops children to become independent learners to significantly improve their academic performance.

CVIF stands for Central Visayan Institute Foundation, where the program was first developed by two internationally renowned and published theoretical physicists who are also Ramon Magsaysay 2010 awardees, Dr. Christopher Bernido and Dr. Ma. Victoria Carpio-Bernido. They developed the program with Smart Communications Inc. and the PLDT-Smart Foundation as lead CVIF-DLP implementers.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. The program will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The registration fee of p500 covers each participant’s lunch, afternoon snack, et al.

On August 17, Convention Day, participants are encouraged to enter the UE Manila campus through the Recto gate along C. M. Recto Avenue. An elevator behind UE’s Recto gate leads to the UE Theater, which is on the fifth floor of the Dalupan Building.
