Education Honor Grad is UE’s Latest Topnotcher!

Congratulations to the latest batch of UE graduates who passed the March 2018 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in the Elementary and Secondary Levels as administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)!

They are led by accomplished UE graduate Jeremiah Mendoza Diaz, who is also UE’s latest board topnotcher, his overall LET score of 90.60 earning him a 10th Place finish in the LET-Secondary Level!

Mr. Diaz is an April 2016 graduate of the UE College of Education, from which he earned the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH), Magna Cum Laude, and CEduc’s College Distinguished Graduate Awardee for SY 2015-2016. In addition to his two graduation honors, Mr. Diaz was an Edukarangalan awardee in 2016.

As a UE college student, Mr. Diaz was a University Scholar and a University President Scholar, and enjoyed the Soka University Japan-Asia Studies Exchange Student Program. He was even a student leader, having been the 3rd-year Representative to the UE College of Education Student Council for SY 2014-2015, was part of the Equitos Concilium (Judiciary Council) of the student organization UE-BLAZE (Bright Leaders Association for Zeal and Excellence) for SY 2015-2016, and Vice President-External of the UE Debate and Speech Society for SY 2015-2016.

The UE College of Education, through its latest batch of graduate-LET takers, attained an overall Elementary-level passing rate of 62.50%, with 10 (out of 16) successful examinees in the Elementary Level and an overall Secondary-level passing rate of 46.79%, with 51 (out of 109) successful examinees in the Secondary Level. Per PRC data, the national passing percentages are 23.62% for the Elementary Level (13,744 successful examinees out of 58,323 hopefuls) and 29.91% for the Secondary Level (22,936 successful examinees out of 76,673 hopefuls).
