UE Produces 51 New Certified Public Accountants!


Congratulations are in order for UE’s newest crop of 51 certified public accountant licensure examinees, for passing the CPA licensure examination (CPALE) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission on October 5, 6 and 12, 2019!

The UE College of Business Administration-Manila (CBA Manila) produced a total of 32 new CPAs out of 103 examinees, yielding a passing percentage of 31.07%. Of the 32 new CPAs from UE Manila, 26 were first-time takers of the exams out of 71 aspirants (resulting in a 36.62% passing percentage for first-timers) while six were repeat takers out of 32 examinees (resulting in a 18.75% passing percentage for repeaters).

For its part, the UE College of Business Administration-Caloocan produced a total of 19 new CPAs out of 56 examinees, making for an overall passing percentage of 33.93%. Of the 19 new CPAs from UE Caloocan, 17 were first-timers out of 37 takers (leading to a 45.95% passing percentage for first-timers) while two were repeaters out of 19 takers (leading to a 10.53% passing percentage for repeaters).

Moreover, UE Caloocan, through UE CBA Caloocan, earned the distinction of being the 8th Top Performing School in the October 2019 CPALE among schools with at least 50 examinees.

The respective passing percentages of the two UE campuses are higher than the national passing percentage of 14.32%, given that only 2,075 out of 14,492 successfully hurdled this latest CPALE.
