Bachelor of Science in Criminology with specialization in Cybersecurity

 

UE CAS Caloocan offers the Bachelor of Science in Criminology with Specialization in Cybersecurity, a degree program that integrates the study of criminology and criminal justice with core concepts and applications of information technology. The program is designed to prepare students for professional practice in crime prevention, law enforcement, investigation, and public safety, while addressing the growing prevalence of technology-driven and cyber-related crimes.

This degree program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of criminal behavior, the criminal justice system, and law enforcement operations, while equipping them with essential competencies in cyberspace security, information assurance, network and data communication, and digital investigation techniques relevant to contemporary criminological practice.

Specific Objectives

  1.     To provide students with a strong theoretical foundation in criminology, criminal justice, and law enforcement;
  2.     To equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and technology-driven crime prevention and investigation;
  3.     To develop students’ analytical, investigative, ethical, and decision-making skills necessary for professional practice in both physical and digital crime environments;
  4.     To expose students to current trends, issues, and challenges in crime control, public safety, and cybercrime in the Philippine and global contexts; and
  5.     To inculcate professionalism, integrity, discipline, and social responsibility essential to criminology and cybersecurity-related professions.

UE CAS Caloocan’s BS Criminology with Specialization in Cybersecurity degree program prepares graduates for careers in law enforcement, public safety, security, and investigation in both government and private sectors. The program produces professionally competent, ethically grounded, and technologically adept graduates capable of responding to traditional and emerging forms of criminality.
