The UE Alumni Association Inc. (UEAAI) and the UE Dental Alumni Association Inc. (UEDAAI), in cooperation with the UE College of Dentistry and the UE Department of Human Resources and Development (DHRD), is conducting “May Ngiti sa Silangan: Dental Treatment for the Entire UE Community”.

This special project is available to all members of the UE community—faculty members, employees, students, alumni, as well as their immediate relatives and dependents. It is open to patients from 3 to 70 years old, who will undergo screening and a needs assessment to identify and address specific oral health care and issues for treatment.

This project aims to promote oral health and provide essential preventive care for the entire UE community; educate patients about oral and dental care practices; encourage community engagement between faculty members, employees, and students; enhance students’ skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, practical experience, and patient management under supervision; help dentistry students expand their patient base and referrals, fulfilling the various procedures for their clinical practice; and, best of all, to give back, volunteer and contribute to the overall oral health care and wellbeing among the UE community.

This project’s FREE service/treatment includes oral prophylaxis/cleaning; restorative work/filling/“pasta”; extraction/“bunot”; root canal treatment; dentures/“pustiso” (jacket crown, fixed bridge/removable or full denture).

Also available for a fee are orthodontic treatment/braces (only for graduate programs; fees vary from a minimum of P25,000) and special surgical procedures.

Qualified patients must register. Online registration for the procedures is ongoing and will be conducted within this first semester of UE school year 2024-2025. The venue is the Dental Infirmary, at the UE College of Dentistry, Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building, UE Manila Annex.

To register, please fill out the Google Form here by scanning the QR code in the poster seen with this announcement.

The list of all registered patients will be forwarded to the UE College of Dentistry Clinician’s Club for verification. Student clinicians will contact each patient to schedule initial interviews and screenings, followed by actual assessments and examinations.

Take note that clinical and diagnostic procedures (i.e., digital cephalometric and panoramic X-rays and periapical X-ray) will be subject to additional fees per patient. For further inquiries, please contact 8735-8557, 0925-7280665 or 09175276580, or email <alumni@ue.edu.ph>.

Thank you and we look forward to your participation in this worthwhile endeavor, bona fide UE Warriors!
