Big congratulations to the team of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students of the UE College of Engineering-Caloocan for emerging as the Champion of ‘InnOlympics 2025: GDSC PLM Hackathon’!

The UE CEng’g group named Team Pandas — composed of third-year BSCS students Justin Sheen Guiriba, Andrew Emmanuel Robles, Kenny Francisco and Zyldjan Lanticse — took the top spot with their innovative app named GabAI: AI-Assisted Study Companion, a learning tool designed to help students adapt to different learning styles and languages.

Held last January 11 to 12 at ING Hubs at the Ayala East Tower in Makati City, InnOlympics 2025 was organized by Google Developer Student Clubs of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (GDSC PLM) — an innovation-driven competition where participants, including students and professionals, collaborate to create tech-based solutions to real-world challenges. Competing teams representing various BSCS schools were tasked to design and present innovative projects that address specific themes announced during the event.

Team Pandas won the championship over 29 other teams and a total of 120 students from other universities. (The word pandas in our champion Warrior team’s name refers to the fast, powerful, flexible and easy-to-use open-source data analysis and manipulation tool that is built on top of the Python programming language.)

This stellar achievement highlights the talent, creativity, and hard work of our Computer Science Warriors. Kudos and thank you, Team Pandas, for making UE proud!
