The University of the East, through the Caloocan Campus, is set to welcome three successive batches of college students of Soka University of Tokyo, Japan, as the latest learners under the UE-Soka U Intensive English Workshop and Cultural Exchange Program (IEWCEP).
UE, specifically through the UE College of Arts and Sciences-Caloocan, has successfully been providing this Intensive English Workshop and Cultural Exchange Program to visiting Soka University students since 2015.
The coming three batches of visiting students will mark the newest set of onsite learners since August 2022—which itself was the first since February 2020, prior to the local and national lockdowns in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first batch of new UE-visiting Soka U students will have their immersion from February 12 to 22, 2023, while the second batch will have theirs soon after, from February 26 to March 8, while the third batch will have theirs from March 12 to 22.
The participating Soka University students will get to learn English while physically chatting and gaining friends with UE’s own cheerful and kind students, while exploring Filipino culture by partaking of our native cuisines, discovering historical sites, and engaging in various fun activities, games, and presentations. All told, the Soka U students are set to have a collection of unforgettable experiences worth cherishing long after their brief learning stint and stay on Philippine soil.
Advanced greetings of welcome to the Philippines and welcome to the University of the East, Soka U Students!
